  • Remove gold-filled jewelry before exercising or participating in other activities the induce sweating. Natural chemicals in sweat may not mix well.

  • Natural lotions are fine, but avoid direct contact with chemical-heavy lotions, hairspray, perfumes, and sunscreens.

Cleaning

  • Daily: Wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth (a polishing cloth works great). If exposed to lotion, perfume, etc., rinse under lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth.

  • Deep cleaning: Mix lukewarm water and mild soap in a bowl. Submerge your jewelry and let it sit in the bowl for a minute. Then remove the jewelry and scrub lightly with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.

Storage

  • Keep gold-filled jewelry in a cool, dry place when not being worn. The drier the environment, the longer the jewelry will retain its sheen.

  • If possible, store jewelry in a soft cloth bag or jewelry box to avoid unnecessary contact with other items.
